Operator stories

Three composite operators.
One operating platform.

These are composite stories — anonymised, blended from real conversations with UK chauffeur operators. The numbers are honest order-of-magnitudes, not lab results. Real named references available on request once we've talked.

Hounslow, London

Belgrave Executive

6 vehicles · 8 drivers

An owner-led airport meet-and-greet business with a £79/mo WordPress plugin, a Google Sheet rota and a WhatsApp group for the drivers.

Before

Lost bookings during the 6 a.m. airport push because the plugin couldn't hold cards. The owner manually rebooked any flight that slipped, refunded any no-show by hand, and re-keyed every completed run into Xero on Friday afternoon.

After Chauffeur

Quoted with card hold, dispatched via the live board, driver app on every vehicle, AviationStack monitoring inbound flights every three minutes and auto-shifting the pickup. The TfL audit pack is one button. Xero push runs every 30 minutes.

We replaced a £79 plugin and a clipboard. Within a week our drivers were getting jobs on their phones and the TfL audit pack was a one-button download. Felt like leaving 2014.

Manchester

Northern Carriage Co.

14 vehicles · 22 drivers

A regional executive transport operator running LimoAnywhere on a quoted £hundreds/month, fighting their US merchant processor for SCA / 3DS edge cases.

Before

Stripe and GoCardless were both blocked behind a US-shaped vendor processor. Corporate clients hated the manual invoicing. The dispatcher used three browser tabs and a printed rota.

After Chauffeur

Migrated to a UK-native stack: own Stripe Connect account, GoCardless Direct Debit for ten monthly corporate accounts, Xero push, MCP server exposing read-only KPIs to a Claude assistant in the operations room.

LimoAnywhere wanted hundreds a month and a switch to their payment processor. Chauffeur kept us on our own Stripe and ran flight-tracked airport pickups out of the box.

Brighton

Coastal Corporate Cars

3 vehicles · 4 drivers

A boutique three-car operator wanting to look bigger than they are when pitching to hotels and a regional film studio.

Before

Their existing site sent the customer to a contact form, then a phone call, then a manual card link. Conversion was poor and the owner was losing weekends to admin.

After Chauffeur

Three-step booking widget on the existing site (one line of JS), live per-class recommendation, Stripe card hold at quote, WhatsApp confirmation. Driver app on the three vehicles, two-tap status updates.

We look bigger than we are now. The widget on our site looks like something a London agency would have. Customers don't realise we're three cars and a dog.

We onboard a small number of agencies each quarter so the founders can stay close. If you're running 3–30 vehicles in the UK, the answer is probably yes.
